Who is the fastest woman ever? Where does Sha'carri Richardson stand in all time list

Sha'Carri Richardson, the fastest woman on Earth, ranks third in the top ten women's 100m timings.In 1988, American Florence Griffith Joyner ran a 10.49 in Indianapolis for the fastest female 100m time. Three decades later, that record stands.

Elaine Thompson Herah ranks second. At the 2021 Prefontaine Classic Diamond League, the Jamaican ran 10.54, making her the fastest woman alive.

Sha'Carri Richardson's 10.57 Miramar Invitational 2023 100m time placed her third in the top ten women's times. Richardson won gold at the Budapest World Championships with a 10.65 later that year.

Next is Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. The Jamaican ran 10.60 at Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2021, the fourth fastest in history.

Carmelita Jones' 10.64 at the 1998 IAAF World Cup in Shanghai was the sixth fastest female 100m time.

Shericka Jackson and Marion Jones follow Jones on the list at number six with 10.65. Marion set her time in 1998 in Johannesburg, while Jackson set it in Kingston at the 2023 Jamaican Championships.

In eighth and ninth place are Brittany Brown and Mellissa Jefferson. Brown ran 10.66 in April 2022, while Jefferson ran 10.69 for the record.

Six runners share tenth place again. Tori Bowie, Tawanna Meadows, Blessing Okagbare, Aleia Hobbs, Marie-Josse Talou, and Julie Alfred ran 10.72s.
