NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport stated that the All-Pro running back demanded a trade after a Saturday training camp meeting with Jim Irsay on the team bus.
Rapoport said that the Colts had not offered a contract extension to Taylor, who is on the physically unable to perform list.
After the discussion, Irsay told reporters the team was not preparing an extension for Taylor and told Albert Breer he was not trading the Pro Bowler.
Indianapolis' top offensive weapon, the 2021 rushing champion, has 3,841 running yards, 33 touchdowns, and 5.1 yards per carry.
Taylor's desire for a change of scenery comes in the final year of his rookie contract, when running backs look to be bottoming out.
He also told Irsay he wants a trade days after the owner entered the RB market discussion and revealed no contract negotiations
