we'll use an air fryer to cook the pakodas without any oil. This cooking method significantly reduces the fat content while still maintaining the delicious taste and texture of the pakodas.
Make zero-oil chicken pakoda using 1 cup boneless chicken, 1/2 cup besan, 2 tbsp rice flour, spices, onions, and green chili. Optionally add a pinch of baking soda for crispiness. Air fry until golden and enjoy guilt-free
Mix chicken with spices, besan & rice flour. Air fry until crispy. Enjoy guilt-free
In the meantime, preheat your air fryer to 180°C (356°F).
Marinate chicken, add besan & rice flour. Mix well for even coating. Add water if batter is dry. Fry without oil
If you want extra crispiness, add a pinch of baking soda to the batter and mix well.
Place the coated chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Make sure they are not touching each other to ensure even cooking.
Air fry at 180°C for 12-15 mins until golden & crispy. Shake basket or flip halfway for even cooking
Once they are done, remove the chicken pakodas from the air fryer and place them on a plate lined with a paper towel to absorb any excess moisture.
Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
