KitKat announced a new breakfast cereal inspired by the candy bar on Twitter today. The announcement coincided with National Cereal Day on March 7.
However, one major catch. KitKat aficionados in the U.S. may not be able to acquire the cereal until next month when it launches in the U.K.
The announcement nonetheless excited admirers, who praised the new product in the comments.
The firm teased on Twitter yesterday that a "whole new type of KitKat" was coming and challenged customers to guess what it would be before
revealing the new cereal. KitKat also released a small video of the KitKat Cereal box, which contains the candy bar's red color and emblem.
Fans know that KitKats are crunchy, chocolate-covered wafer bars that come in several varieties like chunky peanut butter and white chocolate.
Nestlé, the world's largest food corporation, owns KitKats, but Hershey makes them nationally.
