McDonald's announced the availability of McDonald's Sweet & Spicy Jam and McDonald's Mambo Sauce on September 26; both contain a spicy flavor.
Starting on October 9 at participating locations across the nation, the condiments will be available for a limited time.
The Sweet & Spicy jam is a sauce resembling red pepper jelly that is composed of cayenne pepper, red bell pepper, apple cider vinegar, and the tongue-numbing Sichuan peppercorn.
Although it can be used on virtually anything, it is the first "breakfast-inspired" dipping sauce to be served in its U.S. restaurants.
This spicy concoction, which also contains cayenne and chile peppers, was created by McDonald's culinary team and expert advisory panel.
McDonald's collaborated with food-focused content creators — primarily on TikTok — who will be featured in the brand's campaign to sample both sauces and share their real-time reactions.
If it makes sense, it's like if McDonald's original Barbecue Sauce went to college. It's basically a more mature, vinegary, sweet, and savory barbecue sauce.
