We've all been there: you're in line at Chipotle, and the employee gestures to the guacamole, and you say, "Yes, I know it's extra." Yes, I still desire it."
Chipotle charging extra for guac has inspired jokes, irritated consumers, and made the business a lot of money for years.
However, Chipotle just released a photo on Instagram alerting its ardent followers to a little-known fact: there is a way to add guac as a topping for free.
"Guac Is Not Extra When You Go Veggie Only," the photo says, and Chipotle captioned the post, "PSA. Tag a vegetarian who needs to know."
The comments about this Chipotle hack received diverse opinions. "The part where non-grass eaters get discriminated against," one individual wrote.
Even if you're not a vegetarian, a Chipotle all-veggie bowl is delicious. As the saying goes, "don't knock it until you've tried it."
At least one Chipotle customer agrees: "I go veggie only and I'm as close to a carnivore as it gets, but chipotle veggie bowls are just PERFECT."
So, the next time you go to Chipotle, choose veggie-only—or just pay extra for the guac in your chicken bowl.
